There once were two brothers who were identical twins, brought up in a secured loving home. The two brothers doted on each other and were inseparable until they got to college. They got accepted by different colleges because of their course preferences.
As the years went by, they each made new friends, moved to different countries and gradually grew apart. The older twin got himself involved with the wrong circle of friends. Soon enough, he began smoking, drinking and experimenting with drugs, despite all pleas from his brother to stop that lifestyle.
One day, he and his friends got involved in a situation where a man was murdered. His name and face appeared on a ‘wanted list’ shortly after the incident. As a result, he left his school and became a fugitive.
The younger twin on the other hand was a successful business owner because he remained focused. He got married and had two kids.
Many years passed before he decided to go visit his brother not knowing what had become of him. As soon as he stepped into the city his brother lived in, he found himself surrounded by policemen. He was handcuffed and arrested.
Then it came to his knowledge after this incident that his brother is a wanted criminal. Shortly after the arrest, he was locked up in a prison.
It dawned on him that he had been arrested in the place of his brother. He asked the prison guard “ what is the penalty for his crime?” The guard replied, “ the wages of sin is death and you have committed a sin. Thus the penalty for your crime is death!” the younger twin’s heart broke for the second time since getting arrested.
He was torn between telling them about sharing the same identity with his brother who committed the crime, and taking the place of his brother to give him an opportunity to start life afresh.
Thinking very hard, he gazed at himself, his success and family. He had lived his life in full and being a true Christian. He made up his mind to pay for his brothers crime. He chose to die in his brother’s place. He decided to write his brother.

Why did his brother have to do this? Did he have to? Inside him, he felt factitive at his brother’s great show of love. His mind was made up…
To you reading this, this story is just what Jesus did for you and I. He took our place of punishment for our sins so that we don’t have to suffer any more. It is written ” For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; – Romans 3:23. He made us free from sin and death. He became our sacrifice. This is the Good News.

You need to confess Jesus Christ as your personal savior. How do I do this? Say this salvation prayer
Dear God,
I believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ Your Son. I believe He died for me and You raised Him from the dead. I believe He’s alive today. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord of my life from this day forward and that through Him I now have eternal life. I am born again. Thank You God for saving me and making me Your child, in Jesus’ name, I pray, amen!
