THE CHURCH V CULTURE

The Church was not called to labor to be relevant to the culture , but to redefine culture and bring it into conformity to God’s standards or will by the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Matthew 28:18-20
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Now i have quick question if a Church for the purpose of being relevant to the culture, begins to accept as doctrine ; things ,practices, life styles et cetera that are popular with the culture but contrary to the word of God ( what the Bible considers as sin ) , is it making disciples or is it being discipled ? Is that church or person in the will of God.

Finally in Romans 12:2 (AMP) says
2 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

When a person or a Church looses direction it needs to go back to the road map , the Bible. There is still an opportunity to repent while it is today.
God loves you and is not willing that any person should perish but that all might be saved and come to the knowledge of the Truth.
